Surgery for Cats and Dogs

Your pet’s safety is our number one priority whenever they undergo sedation or general anaesthesia.

Our veterinarians have extensive experience performing a wide variety of surgical procedures. Every patient undergoing sedation or anaesthesia will have a dedicated intravenous (IV) catheter placed for medication administration and access throughout their procedure. Our dedicated veterinary technologists are present to continuously monitor your pet throughout all stages of sedation, anaesthesia, and recovery.

Our anaesthetic monitoring equipment includes:

  • Pulse oximetry to monitor blood oxygen levels

  • Capnography to monitor carbon dioxide levels and breathing

  • ECG to monitor heart rhythm

  • Blood pressure monitoring

Surgical procedures offered by our team include:

  • Canine and feline spay and neuter

  • Brachycephalic airway surgery

  • Lump and mass removals

  • Laceration repairs

  • Eye procedures, including cherry eye repair, entropion surgery, and enucleation

Emergency and urgent procedures

Procedures like pyometra surgery, cystotomies, foreign body surgeries, and amputations are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the complexity of the procedure and your pet’s needs, transfer to our Beausejour Animal Hospital location may be required.

At this time, all dental procedures will be performed at our Beausejour Animal Hospital location. We are hoping to offer dental services at this location by 2027, so please check back for updates!
